The Salvation Army Receives $400k Grant from Exelon
Customer Relief Fund will Provide Relief to those in need in the Mid-Shore
The Salvation Army of Cambridge has been selected to receive a $400k grant from Exelon Corporation. The Customer Relief Fund will be available to assist clients with emergency assistance for their utility bills in the five counties served by The Salvation Army of Cambridge: Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot Counties.
As funds are available, The Salvation Army of Cambridge offers emergency rent and utility assistance to keep families who are struggling to pay basic bills in their homes. “We have always worked to provide critical utility assistance to ensure that no one goes without heat in the coldest winters, air conditioning in the brutal summers, or fresh water to drink and bathe in. With these funds, we can expand this service to those in need in the Mid-Shore region,” said Major David Lorenzo, The Salvation Army of Cambridge.
“We are proud to support impactful organizations like yours that make a meaningful difference in our communities, and we look forward to partnering with you on this important initiative,” said Patrice Haskins with Exelon.
