Christmas Assistance

The Salvation Army Emergency Christmas Assistance program is a wonderful program to aid families who have found themselves in an emergency situation and need support to provide gifts for their children. Our program also supports our elderly community by providing for the needs of our community senior citizens.

Emergency Disaster Services

When disaster strikes, The Salvation Army responds quickly, mobilizing its officers, employees, and volunteers wherever needed.

The Salvation Army in Harlingen is looking for passionate and dedicated individuals who want to serve those who have been affected by disastrous situations. These individuals must be willing to volunteer to serve long hours with the intention of meeting others needs without discrimination.

Social Services

We understand that times get tough, and it because of those times that we are proud to offer Emergency rental and utility assistance to those in our community who qualify. To find out more, contact or stop by our Social Service office on Thursdays from 9:00am - 3:00pm.

Youth Programs

In addition to our popular summer camping programs, we also offer our "JAM" Club 316 for the youth in our community on Sundays at 5:30pm.

Fighting food insecurity

In our fight against hunger and food insecurity, we provide over 56 million meals annually through food pantries, meal programs, community gardens, and more across the globe.

Locally, we provide Emergency Food Assistance at our Social Service Office on Mondays form 9:00am - 3:00pm.
