Increase the Impact of Your Volunteer Hours

Your volunteer hours now mean more than ever.

WalmartGivesNWA was created to connect community members with the nonprofits and causes they care most about, in an effort to work together to spark change.

Nonprofits, such as The Salvation Army of NWA, can use the WalmartGivesNWA site to post events and opportunities, and to schedule, track, and manage existing volunteers and donors. Walmart will make matching grants equal to $10 per volunteer hour (for associates and community members) and associate donations to eligible Northwest Arkansas nonprofits will be matched 2:1 logged through GivePulse.

Here is how you can help:

Create a GivePulse Account. (If you already have one, just make sure you’re a member of the “The Salvation Army of NWA” group.)

If you don’t have an account click here to get started.

Once you have an account, click “browse” and search for “The Salvation Army of NWA.”

Request to become a member.

Sign up for an event!

After you volunteer, follow these steps to verify your hours and to confirm the match! Click here. Then you’re done!

If you have any questions, reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator – Joey Jackson at or call 479.521.2151 X 103.

Where We Serve

We are the United States Southern Territory, which serves communities in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, District of Columbia (National Capital) and West Virginia. We’re one of four territories in the U.S. and part of an International organization, headquartered in London. The other U.S. territories are: West, East and Central. Salvation Army territories are made up of areas of service known as divisions. There are 40 divisions in the U.S. – we oversee 8 of them. Divisions consist of centers for worship and service. These are the hubs where service to members of the community actually occurs. Our doors are open to all.
