This is a complete list of all volunteer opportunities. 

Kitchen Donations Helper: We have truck deliveries on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and need help with the heavy lifting tasks in the kitchen for an hour or two on those days. Wednesday has the most need. Volunteers would need to be able to lift heavy loads assisting kitchen staff with putting food boxes, etc. into our refrigerator, freezer, and pantry. Tuesday: 10:30-12:30 pm, Wednesday: 10:00- 12:30 pm, and Thursday: 10:30-12:30 pm.

Contact the volunteer coordinator to sign up. Must be 18.

Group Volunteers: Volunteers needed on Monday and Thursday evenings for shelter youth programs from 6:30- 8:15 pm. Programs can range from a laid back movie night/game night to more structured activities. We can also use group facilitators, if you are interested in doing any kind of activities/shows/etc.

Family Thrift Store: Help turn donations into program funding! Sort and organize items in our store. Great Group Activity!
Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm Must be at least 18 years old.

Shelter Mentor & Tutor: Help children in the shelter with their homework, but more importantly serve as a positive role model to a child in need. Monday & Thursday, 6:45(6:30-8:00)pm-8:15pm; Must be at least 18 years old

Family Fun Night: Host a fun craft or activity with the families in our Emergency Women & Children's Shelter! Dance parties, crafts, beauty nights and more! The choice is yours! Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays: 6:45pm-8:15pm (Delete) (6:30 – 8:00pm)

Piano Lessons: Share your love of music by volunteering to teach the kids in the church, ages 7-14, how to play the piano!

Clerical: Assist in completing various office tasks including: filing, data entry, thank you notes, stats, and more! May require bringing own computer. Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm; Fridays 8am-2pm *Varies by need

Warehouse: Help organize donations that will given away to help those in need. Great group activity!
Monday-Thursday 9am-12pm; Fridays 9am- 1pm. Must be at least 18 years old

Soup Line: Help feed the hungry by serving, washing dishes, running trays, and water service in the soup line! Must be at least 14 years old with adult supervision. Monday-Friday; 4:30pm-6pm (Delete)

Shelter Meal: As a family or group, lovingly prepare a nutritious meal for the shelter residents in the comfort of your home. Bring the meal and serve it to the women and children! Prepared Meals can be brought in Sunday or Wednesdays (Must be brought in hot and can serve 60-70 people). Monday-Friday (dinner); Saturday & Sunday (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) DETELE: needs to be scheduled ahead of time

Food Pantry Assist Crisis Manager: Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 to 12:30 picking and packing groceries for families and carrying them to their cars. Assist our Crisis Case Manager by greeting clients and helping them carry groceries to their car.

Donation Drives: Help us help others! Collect needed items for our programs! Christmas toy drive, food pantry/canned goods drive, school supply drive, etc. Please contact the volunteer coordinator for more information

Athletics

Coach: Coach a team of 10-15 children in the sport of your choice towards a healthy active life with strong communications and team building skills!

Winter & Summer Basketball, Baseball, Soccer & Flag Football - practice & games days vary by season – 5:30-8:00 pm 

Concession Stand: Enjoy watching the practices and games while providing snack and drinks for our parents and players!. Must be at least 18 years old. Days & times vary by season

Gym Attendant: Help the athletic director maintain the gym or field by lining fields, organizing equipment and concession stand materials. Must be at least 18 years old with adult supervision. Days & times vary by season.

Cheerleading Assistant: Have an extra pep in your step? Help with the cheerleaders learn routines! Must be at least 18 years old

Volunteer Referee Score Keepers/Timers : Commitment to referee the 4 year old league of your choice for the entire season! (DELETE)

After School Program

Tutoring: Help kids with their homework! They'll gain confidence, and learn a thing or two about yourself. Monday-Friday: 4:30pm-6pm. Must be at least 18 years old to volunteer.

Assistant Group Leader: Assist Group Leaders in planned activities! Or, Plan and organize group games or religious activities for the children! Monday-Friday: 2pm-6pm. Must be at least 18 years old to volunteer. (DELETE)

Arts & Crafts Leader: Spark a child's creativity! Volunteer with the 5-8 years old while they do various art and craft projects. Monday-Friday: 4:30pm-6pm. Must be at least 18 years old to volunteer. (DELETE)

Gardening: We have a small garden for the kids and Seniors group. Help us maintain it! Monday-Friday: flexible times

Story Volunteer: Help teach good character and values through the world of books and love of reading!

Guitar Lessons: If you love music and play the guitar, please sign up to visit our weekly guitar club! Teach the kids any basic lesson you would like to share!

Book Club: Teach the importance and share the love of reading! Join us and help lead a discussion of the current chosen book! Fridays; 4:30pm-5:30pm. Must be at least 18 years old to volunteer.

Girls on the Run!: Instill a lifelong love for physical health and teach girls ages 8-13 the importance of health, confidence, and intrapersonal skills. Must be at least 18 years old. Requires physical activity of volunteers; program ends in celebratory 5k race; Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:30pm-6pm

Cheerleading Assistant: Have an extra pep in your step? Help with the cheerleaders learn routines!

Maintenance Volunteer: Help repair, organize or paint for the community center! Great team building activity! Must be a group of at least three people; Volunteers have to be 18 years old; times vary by need.
