SOS: Save Our Shelter — Protecting Shelter, Meals, and Hope in Madisonville
A Mission Essential Campaign to sustain Madisonville's only emergency shelter and community kitchen

SOS: Madisonville's Shelter Is at Risk

The Salvation Army of Madisonville operates the only emergency homeless shelter in the community — and today, that shelter is sending a clear SOS. These services are a lifeline for individuals facing crisis — and there is no alternative provider if they disappear.

This is an urgent call to protect essential services before capacity is reduced.

If this Mission Essential Campaign is not fully funded, we risk cutting or reducing shelter services that save lives and stabilize individuals, with far-reaching consequences for the entire region.

  • Madisonville has no other emergency shelter option
  • Closing this funding gap is critical to maintaining operations
  • Loss of shelter capacity increases unsheltered homelessness
  • Greater strain on police, emergency responders, and hospitals

Real stories of lives changed through your support

Now clean for two and a half years, Darryl has successfully transitioned from homelessness to a life of stability. Today, he is proud to be a consistent father and a positive role model for his son, crediting the Salvation Army with providing the tools he needed to get his life back on track.
