OG&E Rallies Employees to Benefit The United Way of Payne County & The Salvation Army
On October 13th, 2021, Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E) held an employee rally to benefit the United Way of Payne County. The rally was held at the Sooner Plant in Red Rock, Oklahoma, where OG&E encouraged their employees to participate in fundraising events to give back to their community by raising money though bake sales, auctions and other similar activities.
The Salvation Army of Stillwater, a partner agency with the United Way of Payne County, represented the various needs of the community. Partnerships, not only with United Way, but with OG&E as well, provide critical funding which helps to meet those needs though Salvation Army programs such as Emergency Disaster Services, Utility Assistance, Food Boxes and gifts at Christmastime.
“It was an honor to be a part of the OG&E United Way rally. Both OG&E and the United Way of Payne County are both valued partners of The Salvation Army. Without their support, The Salvation Army would not be able to meet the needs of some of our most vulnerable neighbors,” said Cindy Fuller, Divisional Communications Director of The Salvation Army’s Arkansas & Oklahoma Division.
