Safety, stability, and a pathway forward
for women and families in Clarksville.
Mission Essential Campaign
June 2026 – November 2026
Women and families are one of the fastest‑growing populations experiencing homelessness. Too often, their needs go unmet due to the lack of safe, supportive shelter options designed specifically for them.
The Salvation Army of Clarksville is responding by launching a shelter for women and women with children—providing not just a place to sleep, but the structure and support needed to rebuild lives.
Families represent one‑third of all people experiencing homelessness*
Family homelessness increased nearly 40% in the last year*
Up to 80% of homeless mothers report experiencing domestic violence*
*All statistics cited are based on national data from HUD and widely referenced homelessness research studies.
Mission Essential funding ensures that when women and families enter shelter, they receive more than overnight safety. They receive wraparound support that helps them stabilize and move toward permanent housing.
