Celebrate National Thrift Store Day
Support The Salvation Army on the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Gulfport, MS (August 8, 2025) – National Thrift Store Day is Sunday, August 17, and The Salvation Army of the Mississippi Gulf Coast is encouraging residents to celebrate by donating gently used items to the Gulfport Family Thrift Store all month long. These donations directly support local programs that help individuals and families in need across the Coast.
“Our Family Store's inventory is made possible entirely through the generosity of our local community,” said Major Paul Egan, Area Commander for The Salvation Army. “When you donate here, your contributions stay here—supporting neighbors in crisis and helping them find HOPE.”
