The Salvation Army recognizes that holidays can bring added financial and emotional stress for families in need. We offer a variety of services to help families and individuals make it through more difficult holiday seasons including The Salvation Army's Angel Tree & Red Kettle Programs and the Empty Stocking program which is done through the Odessa American.
The Salvation Army is ready to serve at a moment's notice whenever disaster strikes. Our local trained team may service in local, state, national and international disasters.
A warm bed on a warm night means so much more when you are in need, and that is why we offer our Emergency Shelter on nights when the temperature drops below freezing & sustained overnight. Contact our office for more information.
Times can get tough, and it is for those times that we offer Emergency Utility Assistance to those in need in our community that qualify through our partnership with TXU Energy & Atmos Gas.
In addition to our popular Summer Camping Programs, we also offer youth a chance to learn and grow through our Junior Soldier program which is held Sundays during our Holiness Meeting at 11:30am.
In our fight against hunger and food insecurity, we provide over 56 million meals annually through food pantries worldwide, with a local focus on Supper which is served from our Shelter Monday -Saturday from 5:00pm - 6:00pm.
The love of God is at the heart of what we do. Our service-oriented approach to faith is shared each Sunday at services throughout the country.
