Youth Development Professional 
Part-Time Monday-Friday (29 hours a week)

Job Summary 

• Promotes and stimulates program participation. 
• Assists with registering new members and participates in their Club orientation process. 
• Provides guidance and role modeling to members. 
• Implements and administers programs, services, and activities for Club members effectively. 
• Monitors and evaluates programs, services, and activities to ensure the safety of members, quality of programs, and appearance of the branch at all times. 
• Prepares periodic activity reports. 
• Assists in maintaining facility and equipment in good working order. 
• Assists in maintaining all storage areas keeping them orderly and clean. 
• Reports all repairs, maintenance, and janitorial needs to the supervisor. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to present a positive and professional image of The Salvation Army. 
• Ability to interact with children and teens with patience and respect. 
• Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports accurately and completely. 
• Ability to support and coordinate activities and events. 
• Ability to clearly communicate roles and responsibilities to individuals and groups. 
• Ability to interact with co-workers, volunteers, and the public positively and professionally. 
• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances. 
• Ability to operate and generally maintain all office equipment, including but not limited to the copier. 

Minimum Qualifications Required 

• High School Diploma or GED 
• Previous work in related fields with children and youth preferred
