Advisory Board & Women's Auxiliary

 

Women’s Auxiliary

The Auxiliary works as an extension of The Salvation Army Advisory Board.  Its purpose is to support the work of the local Salvation Army and to strengthen the hands of those who have dedicated their lives to this cause. The Auxiliary is not independent of The Salvation Army, it is part of it, created by act of duty appointed governing authority, the Territorial Commander.  The Auxiliary functions as a fund raising and volunteer service group for the programs of The Salvation Army.  For more information on membership, please call 903-592-4361.

 


Advisory Board

A major factor in the development and growth of Salvation Army programs and services has been the support given by community leaders throughout the country. This “army behind the Army” has interpreted community needs, explained the program and services to the community and provided financial assistance, fund raising and other support to the Army’s efforts to render effective service. These friends give valued advice and assistance through their membership.
