How We Help Image

How We Help

Christmas Assistance

The Salvation Army recognizes that holidays can bring added financial and emotional stress for families in need. Our Angel Tree Program provides assistance to families of children ages 0–12 with toys and clothing for Christmas.

Homeless Shelters

For those with no place to go or in need of emergency shelter, local Salvation Army homeless shelters provide a warm, safe place for men, women, and families to stay. In cities where we do not operate homeless shelters, we offer financial assistance to cover emergency overnight housing costs or refer those facing housing and food insecurity to partner programs with emergency shelter services.

The Salvation Army Shelter in Bowling Green, Kentucky's Center of Hope Residential Center offers both emergency stays to individuals seeking shelter and short-term residential programs to assist individuals and families regain their independence.

Both a men's and women's dorm is available for housing individuals and several efficiency family unit apartments are available for parents or individuals with children.
