The Salvation Army recognizes that holidays can bring added financial and emotional stress for families in need. We offer a variety of services to help families and individuals make it through more difficult holiday seasons.
We serve Madison, Estill, Lee, Jackson, Rockcastle, Breathitt, Clay, Wolfe, & Owsley counties.
When disaster strikes, The Salvation Army responds quickly, mobilizing its officers, employees, and volunteers wherever needed.
For those with no place to go or in need of emergency shelter, local Salvation Army homeless shelters provide a warm, safe place for men, women, and families to stay.
The Salvation Army in Richmond, Kentucky offers an Emergency Non-Congregant Shelter. Individuals pre-register through an interview over the phone and must be able to present a fire report, natural disaster declaration, or eviction paperwork within the past seven (7) days or be referred by the police department in a stranded overnight situation.
