Each year, The Salvation Army provides over 10 million nights of lodging to those in need. Our group homes, emergency shelters, and transitional living centers provide housing, food, and overnight lodging for varying amounts of time to destitute families, the homeless, the displaced, and to youth where family care is undesirable or unavailable. Through our holistic approach to serving the whole person, we supplement every shelter service with emotional and spiritual support.

Other times, we experience unexpected circumstances in life, such as job loss or debt following a medical emergency. With one in six people living in poverty today, homelessness is not predictable or exclusive to a certain “type” of person – it could happen to anyone.

  • Emergency Shelter: The Salvation Army of Brunswick's emergency shelter has a total of 26 regular beds (16 beds for men and 10 beds for women).
