Classes are taught by Cape Fear Community College Professors, Community Partners, Volunteers and Staff. Life Skills participants are required to attend classes, volunteer in the community and meet with a Case Manager.

Assistance is provided to residents of Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover and Pender counties when an unexpected emergency situation creates a loss of income. Such situations include, but are not limited to: house fires, natural disasters, loss of employment, and medical emergencies. Assistance may include utility and/or rental/mortgage payments, case management, furniture, food and/or clothing.

We currently operate four Family Thrift Stores stocked with donations of clothing, furniture and household items. These items are not only offered for sale but are also provided through our Social Services outreach programs. Profits from our Family Stores go to support our community programming and assistance.
