Coastal Alabama Area Commanders

Captains Trey and Sheri Jones

Captains Trey and Sheri Jones are currently serving as Area Commanders for The Salvation Army Coastal Alabama Area Command. Trey and Sheri both grew up in The Salvation Army, Trey being a fifth-generation, and Sheri a sixth-generation Salvationist. They have been serving as commissioned officers with The Salvation Army for nine years through three appointments. They have served in Alexandria, VA; Fredericksburg, VA; and Lynchburg, VA. 

Captain Trey Jones has extensive experience in emergency disaster services. Before becoming an officer, he worked in The Salvation Army's divisional disaster department in Florida for seven years, serving in relief efforts for several hurricanes, such as Hurricanes Lily, Ivan, Dennis, Katrina, and Harvey.

"We are excited about the new ministry opportunities and challenges God has for us. We are eager to join the work that The Army is doing in Coastal Alabama," stated Captain Trey Jones.

Trey specifically enjoys disaster relief work and music ministry opportunities. Sheri is passionate about working with families and teen ministries.
