Captains Analese and Paul Ryerson

Corps Officers

Captains Paul & Analese Ryerson have the privilege of serving as the current leaders of The Salvation Army of Gwinnett County. 

Captain Paul Ryerson was commissioned as a Salvation Army officer in 2010 as a member of the “Prayer Warrior” session. Captain Analese Ryerson was commissioned in 2009 as a member of the “Witnesses for Christ” session. Together, they have served as Salvation Army leaders in El Paso, TX, Dallas Pleasant Grove, TX, Bryan/College Station, TX, and now currently in Gwinnett County, GA.

Analese was born in Pittsburgh, PA but calls South Carolina home. She is a second-generation Salvationist. Paul grew up in Big Spring, TX, and is a third-generation Salvationist. Both are musicians and enjoy using their talents and skills to lead others in worship.  

Paul is a member of the Rotary Club of Gwinnett County and a member of the 2023 Class of Leadership Gwinnett. 

Analese’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts from The Salvation Army School for Officer’s Training (Atlanta, GA) and a Bachelor in Practical Christian Ministry from Trevecca Nazarene University (Nashville, TN). Paul’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts from The Salvation Army School for Officer’s Training (Atlanta, GA) where he received two awards, the Sidney Cox Award and the Principal’s Award, and a Bachelor's in Practical Christian Ministry from Trevecca Nazarene University (Nashville, TN). Paul is also a member of the 47th Class of the Arrow Leadership Academy (Vancouver, BC).

Together they have two children, Joshua and Eleanor. On any given day, you will find Josh playing baseball and Eleanor singing and dancing to anything she can get her hands on. Josh and Ellie are truly their pride and joy.
