Volunteer Opportunities

The Salvation Army is a volunteer fueled organization with opportunities for individuals, families, and groups large and small. Gifts of time and talents go a long way toward improving the lives of those we serve. That is why volunteers serve as the foundation for The Salvation Army of High Point.

One-Time Opportunities

Our one-time opportunities are perfect for those who want a quick and easy way to make a difference. These include activities like distributing food on the mobile food pantry or ringing a bell during the holidays.

Group Opportunities

We can accommodate your group’s desire to do something good together – whether family, friends, coworkers, civic or church groups. Group volunteer activities are typically project-based or part of a larger event, like helping in our Christmas warehouse or completing a beautification project.

Ongoing Opportunities

Ongoing opportunities are designed for those who want to get involved on a regular basis. These include activities like helping youth with homework and reading or serving after a disaster strikes.

Volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application and a background check for select programs.
