We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming 2024 Soup Off event! This will be our fourth year where we raise much-needed funds
for The Salvation Army of Lake & Sumter Counties for food and feeding programs.

The Annual Soup Off takes place on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 5pm.

All ticket holders must register at the event!

Eight area restaurants:

Havana Country Club

Glenview Country Club

Bonifay Country Club

Evans Prairie Country Club

Belle Glade Country Clubs

Outback Steakhouse

have donated signature soups, and will compete for the coveted Golden Ladle Award.

Bread, dessert, and beverages included. Light entertainment.

Complimentary ceramic bowl and cozie for ticket holders.

Silent Auction, Scratch Off board, and a 50/50 Raffle

All proceeds from the Soup Off will help support The Salvation Army of Lake & Sumter Counties with food services, including breakfast for the homeless, food pantry for the marginalized, feeding at youth & seniors programs.

You are then encouraged to vote for your favorite soup as the highest number of votes decides the winning restaurant, who will receive the Golden Ladle Award. You are also invited to receive a bowl of your chosen soup. There will also be bread, dessert, and beverages. Light entertainment will follow and include the drawings. Everyone will receive a hand-crafted pottery bowl courtesy of The Villages Pottery Clubs, and hand-made cozie, courtesy of The Villages Quilters Clubs.

The Salvation Army has been serving the marginalized for over 159 years and is currently operating in 134 countries. Your local Salvation Army provides life-changing programs year-round for thousands in need including food pantry, emergency food distribution, breakfast Monday-Friday, Saturday meal distribution to the homeless, after-school tutoring including meals, seniors lunch club, food, water and ice at natural and man-made disasters, and much more. Your ticket donation will help The Salvation Army sustain these life-changing necessities to thousands of individuals throughout Lake & Sumter Counties. The Villages Friends of The Salvation Army is open to any Villager who feels a commitment to help others.
We meet the second Monday of each month at Bacall Recreation Center at 3:00 PM. Your are welcome to attend.
