10 SIMPLE WAYS

Our corporate and organizational partners and volunteers are just a few ways we describe those who stand beside us every day, helping us truly make a difference. There are many exciting employee engagement opportunities available during the holiday season, both in-person and virtually.

Want to join the effort? Here are 10 simple ways you can support The Salvation Army, many of which can be done at the flick of a finger right now.

1. RING IT FORWARD

WIN FOUR SPURS TICKETS by volunteering to Ring the Bell at one of our iconic Red Kettles.

The holiday season is here. The Salvation Army is making volunteer to Ring the Bell way more exciting. When register to ring you have a chance to win 4 tickets to a Spurs Game. Here’s how:

  • Create an account at www.registertoring.com
  • Volunteer to ring the bell at a location of their choice
  • While ringing the bell. Take a selfie at their Red Kettle
  • Tag The Salvation army at @salvationarmysatx on Facebook or Instagram.
  • You’ll be automatically entered in the Ring it Forward contest.

2. Become a Salvation Army Red Kettle Partner

As a Red Kettle Partner, your company will be supporting people in need in the communities of your choice and will also be well-recognized for your generosity.

BECOME A Red Kettle Partner

With more people facing hardship this year, the need to serve those most vulnerable is greater than ever before.

As a Red Kettle Partner, your company will be supporting people in need in San Antonio and will also be well-recognized for your generosity.

  • Partnership levels start at $250 and reach to $5,000+
  • Partnership levels and benefits are available at your request.

3. Host an Angel Tree

Help families turn tough breaks into fresh starts.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS.

  • The Salvation Army screens each family and prepares a list of toys and clothing the children want.
  • The Salvation Army staff assigns 'Angels' to each sponsor and will mail you 'Angel Tags. Each tag has information about the Angel (child's first name, gender, age, and gift wish) and is ready to be hung on your Christmas tree.
  • Sponsors shop for the Angels.
  • Collect all the gifts from employees and/or customers and coordinate a date with us when our drivers can come pick-up the toys.

Contact us by emailing us at tex.sa.angeltree@uss.salvationarmy.org

6. Donate Your Out of Office Reply

When you're away from your desk during the holiday season, how about donating your Out Of Office Message to The Salvation Army?

Here's some language you can use:

Sorry to miss you! I'm away from my desk enjoying the holiday with my loved ones. But one in seven

Americans are in poverty, struggling to put food on the table and gifts under the tree this holiday season. Join me in helping The Salvation Army care for them right now and all year long by making a gift at: https://bit.ly/donatetoSalArmy

Ask Your Customers to Join You in Supporting The Salvation Army

We can create a co-branded donation landing page that showcases your partnership and support of this year's campaign. This link can be shared with customers, employees, vendors and friends.

7. Ring the Bell Virtually

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS.

  • We will customize a Red Kettle just for you that includes your logo and a paragraph explaining why you support The Salvation Army.
  • Send the link to customers, employees and others providing them an opportunity to support their neighbors in need.
  • When someone donates to your virtual Red Kettle, they will hear the sound of that familiar bell ringing!
