Angel Tree Volunteer Highlight: Greystar
Just down South Congress Avenue lies our Christmas warehouse, a vibrant hub filled with every gift and essential needed to fulfill the holiday wishes of thousands of children in Central Texas through our Angel Tree program. From toys and shoes to diapers and strollers, this space is vital for keeping our operations organized during this busy season of giving.
However, we couldn't do it alone. The success of the Angel Tree program relies on the unwavering support of hundreds of dedicated partners. We are truly grateful for the enduring collaborations we've built over the years!
This week, we were thrilled to welcome Greystar, who generously volunteered their time at the warehouse. With around 20 enthusiastic employees, they rolled up their sleeves to organize shelves and manage inventory in preparation for the upcoming program. They lined the walls with toys, sorted clothes by size, and matched pairs of shoes, all with excitement for the children who will benefit this Christmas.
“It is truly a blessing to work alongside partners like Greystar,” said Jennifer Riojas-Santos, executive assistant at The Salvation Army. “Volunteers like this are the heart and soul of our program.”
This is just the beginning of our Angel Tree initiative, and we’re actively seeking more selfless volunteers to join us in the warehouse this year. Whether you want to help with preparation, assist on distribution days, host a toy drive, or adopt an angel yourself, your service is a tremendous blessing to our team and to your neighbors in need. Join us in spreading the joy of the season!
