On November 25th, 2024, Peter Zeihan presented at the Headliners Club at a luncheon benefiting The Salvation Army Austin. As Zeihan’s insights painted a picture of a changing world, the event was equally focused on making a difference right here in Austin. The Salvation Army was honored to be the beneficiary of the evening’s fundraising efforts. Major Lewis Reckline, the Area Commander at The Salvation Army in Austin, along with board members Tom Sweet and Curtis Ford, were able to share our impactful mission and inform the audience about the services and programs we offer in Central Texas.
The generosity of the audience was truly heartwarming. Though attendees came to learn from Peter Zeihan, they seemed to be deeply moved by the work and mission of The Salvation Army in Central Texas. Many individuals made significant donations, ensuring our organization can continue to provide life-changing services to those in need. The event fostered a sense of camaraderie, with relationships being built among like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference. These connections are sure to create opportunities for ongoing collaborations, allowing these leaders to come together and support initiatives that will transform the lives of countless families in Central Texas.
The Salvation Army Austin is immensely grateful to have benefited from this event and to be able to share our mission with a new audience. It is an honor to come together to help our neighbors in need and we would not be able to continue our services without the generosity of our supporters.
