Designed to ease the transition from homelessness to stable housing, the new veteran's wing will serve as an important mid-transition home.

Homeless Shelters
For those with no place to go or in need of emergency shelter, local Salvation Army homeless shelters provide a warm, safe place for men, women, and families to stay. In cities where we do not operate homeless shelters, we offer financial assistance to cover emergency overnight housing costs or refer those facing housing and food insecurity to partner programs with emergency shelter services.
Charles O. Gordon Center of Hope
Our shelter in Johnson City is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our shelter has capacity for 40 men and 25 women. We also have beds specifically for veterans.

Fighting food insecurity
In our fight against hunger and food insecurity, we provide over 56 million meals annually through food pantries, meal programs, community gardens, and more.
Food Ministry
We offer a free meal to anyone in the community on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays at 4:00 PM
and a free bag lunch on Saturday and Sunday at noon.
Spiritual Care
The love of God is at the heart of what we do. Our service-oriented
approach to faith is shared each Sunday at services throughout the country.
