Aug 13, 2026

Trust is one of the most important measures of a nonprofit organization's relationship with the public. According to Morning Consult's Most Trusted Nonprofits 2026 report, The Salvation Army ranks among the top 10 most trusted nonprofit organizations in the United States. The recognition reflects the confidence Americans place in organizations they believe will do what is right and responsibly steward the resources entrusted to them.

Morning Consult's annual rankings are based on responses from Americans who were asked how much they trust nonprofit organizations to do what is right. Rankings are determined using a net trust score, which compares positive trust responses against negative trust responses across organizations included in the study. The report serves as an annual snapshot of public confidence in the nonprofit sector.

For more than 150 years, The Salvation Army has preached the gospel of Jesus Christ and met human needs in His name without discrimination. Across the United States, The Salvation Army serves individuals and families through programs including food assistance, emergency disaster services, shelter, youth programs, addiction recovery, financial assistance, and spiritual care. This recognition reflects the ongoing commitment of Salvation Army officers, employees, volunteers, donors, and supporters who help serve communities every day.
