Eveline's Story: Planning for What Matters, One Project at a Time
Eveline B. first learned about the Building Wealth and Health Network (the Network) through a newsletter. The message caught her attention not only because she wanted to strengthen her finances, but also because she was also looking for community — women with similar goals, asking the same questions, and working toward a more stable future.
A certified pharmacy technician, Eveline came in motivated by the idea of financial freedom and the practical steps that make big goals feel possible — especially homeownership. The program’s modules helped break down what can feel overwhelming into manageable, actionable planning.
But the Network provided more than financial education. After losing her husband during COVID, Eveline found herself navigating life in a new way — making decisions and managing responsibilities that had once been shared. Having an instructor she could turn to for guidance made a difference. When something felt unclear, support was available, and that steady encouragement helped build confidence.
“With the right plan, big home goals can happen—even on one income,” Eveline shared.
Eveline put what she learned to work at home, one project at a time. Avoiding debt mattered, especially after shifting from two incomes to one. She paid cash for new kitchen flooring in Spring 2025 and says she’s loving the updated space. In Fall 2025, she also installed a walk-in shower — another major step toward comfort and long-term stability at home. Next up: gutter replacement, slated for Summer 2026.
“The class ended, but the progress didn’t,” Eveline said.
Eveline’s story reflects the heart of the Network: practical tools, trusted support, and a community that helps turn goals into step-by-step progress — especially during seasons when strength is being rebuilt. It wasn’t always easy to share at first, but she discovered that growth requires openness. The more she leaned in, the more she gained.
