Meet Justin Heisey, Special Events and Volunteer Manager
The Salvation Army of Greenville, Pickens & Oconee Counties recently welcomed Justin Heisey as Special Events and Volunteer Manager. In this role, Heisey oversees the development and implementation of fundraising events to benefit The Salvation Army’s mission work in the community, as well as recruits and coordinates volunteer efforts for the organization, including supporting the Red Kettle Impact Campaign and Angel Tree program.
Before joining The Salvation Army of Greenville, Heisey served as the Special Events Manager for Fountain Inn and Laurens municipalities, including managing youth sports programs and marketing community activities. Before his time in local government, he served as Youth Minister for several area churches.
“Volunteers are critical to the mission programs we’re able to provide our neighbors in need, and Justin has proved to be a real asset in guiding volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups across all of The Salvation Army footprint,” said Major Michael Harris, Area Commander of The Salvation Army of Greenville, Pickens & Oconee Counties. “He also brings great dedication and passion to developing memorable events to benefit the work we’re doing in Greenville, such as providing shelter, food and helping those experiencing poverty meet their basic needs.”
Heisey is a graduate of North Greenville University with a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cheering for Clemson University athletics, and playing an active role as a member at Upstate Church Harrison Bridge in Simpsonville.
