H.O.P.E. Village

We believe that the first step towards a better tomorrow is an act of HOPE – the belief that there is life beyond trauma and misfortune, and that everyone deserves an opportunity to thrive.

Since 2009, we’ve offered a full spectrum of support services that educate, empower, and equip homeless or impoverished women with the tools and skills they need to pursue a brighter future for themselves and their children.

We provide stable housing and a 6-month program for qualified applicants who need help getting on their feet. But what we do here at H.O.P.E. Village is about so much more than simply providing housing. Our ultimate goal is to help each woman that enters our program develop the skills needed to thrive on her own, and to live a fulfilling, successful life.

Each member of our residential community – comprised of 10 single-family homes, a Learning Center, and an administrative office – is given the opportunity to work through trauma, and address the issues that led to her homelessness, in a safe, supportive environment while also developing the skills needed to live independently.

246 women and 119 have found hope here

In the past 10 years, H.O.P.E. Village has graduated 246 women and 119 children into self-sufficiency.

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE PROGRAM

Please note – participants are referred by our Southeastern Virginia Homeless Coalition (SVHC) partner agencies. We cannot accept direct calls for entry into the program. If you are in need of housing assistance, please contact the Regional Housing Crisis Hotline at 757-587-4202. The Regional Crisis Hotline serves as the single point of contact for homeless families and individuals in Hampton Roads.
