Majors Angie & David Repass arrived in Hickory July of 2022.
Major Angie was born and raised in Parkersburg, WV. Her desire growing up was to be a music teacher. She attended college and majored in Music Education, but left and pursued ministry in The Salvation Army.
Major David was born in LaPaz Bolivia and grew up in Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina. He moved to the US at the age of 19. He graduated from Central Piedmont Community College with his Associates Degree in Music Performance before entering The Salvation Army Training School (Seminary).
Both Angie & David entered The Salvation Army School For Officers Training (seminary) in 1996 and graduated in 1998. Upon their graduation Major David went to Williamsburg, VA and Major Angie went to Roanoke, VA. They married in June of 1999 and remained in Williamsburg until 2003. In 2004 they were sent as missionaries to Mexico City and serve there for 2 years. Upon their return to the USA they were appointed to Winston-Salem, NC for 2 1/2 years. While in Winston-Salem they took in 3 boys from the corps as foster parents. In 2008 they were sent to Aiken, SC where they stayed for 6 years until they were appointed to Conway, SC. They served in Conway, SC for 5 years and in 2019 they were sent to Atlanta as the Corps Officers of the Atlanta International Corps. In July of 2019 they finally adopted their 3 boys (current ages) Michael (22), Gary (19) and Thomas (17). While moving to Hickory the 2 older boys have moved out on their own and they came as a household of 3 with Thomas.
Major David's favorite scripture verse is Romans 8:38-39 and Major Angie’s is Isaiah 41:10.
