Corps Cadet Program

WHAT IS A CORPS CADET?

A Corps Cadet is a young Salvationist who undertakes a course of study and training in his corps to become more effective and efficient. The program develops the value of his future service as a soldier, local officer, or officer in the Salvation Army.

WHAT ARE THE PURPOSES?

To provide an atmosphere in which spiritual growth can occur through a BOLD curriculum of Bible study, Salvation Army heritage, Leadership, Discipleship tithing, Service, and Witnessing—all led by the spiritual counsel of corps officers and local volunteers.

Provide opportunities for the development of leadership skills.

Provide experience and knowledge of Salvation Army history, policies, and procedures.\

Provide training and opportunities to develop soul-winning experiences through visitation campaigns, outdoor evangelism, witnessing, etc.

GRADUATE CORPS CADET SCHOLARSHIP

The Graduate Corps Cadet post-high school education Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to graduate corps cadets who desire to enroll in an accredited program of Post-High school education. This could be a four-year college, junior college, technical school, trade school, etc.

This scholarship is designed to incentivize students to engage and complete the corps cadet program. By completing the whole course, leaders will have additional time for disciplining and equipping young people with their leadership skills and Bible knowledge. We hope this encourages all interested young people to participate in this excellent discipleship program.
