December 5 will mark 43 years of The Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta and 11Alive partnering to re-stock the Army's 13 food pantries through the annual Holiday Can-A-Thon. This food drive, also supported by Publix, enables The Salvation Army to fill the gap during the holidays and throughout the year for the 1 in 7 people experiencing food insecurity, meaning they don't know where their next meal will come from.
YOU can bring HOPE to our neighbors in need by collecting and donating non-perishable food items on December 5 at several locations throughout metro Atlanta. Whether you're a company interested in giving back or a community member who wants to help their neighbor in need this holiday season, Can-A-Thon is a great opportunity to make a positive impact.
Here's how it works - Collect nonperishable food items throughout the next few months and on Fri., Dec. 5 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., drop your donation off at one of our five locations in metro Atlanta. Your donations will help ease the burden of food insecurity for thousands of our neighbors, many of whom suffer in silence.
