Summer is a critical time for families with children who rely on the free and reduced lunch program during the school year. Without the breakfast and lunch they usually receive at school, many children will have two less meals per day. With 1 in 8 children in Georgia experiencing food insecurity, The Salvation Army food pantries are a vital resource to families, especially during the summer months.
