THE SALVATION ARMY METRO ATLANTA AREA COMMANDERS

Thomas McWilliams, the son of missionary Salvation Army Officers, graduated High School in Capetown, South Africa. After moving home to the States, he graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a B.S. degree in Biology, followed by an MDIV and Doctorate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He’s married to Stacie McWilliams and has a beautiful daughter Brittany who lives in Malden, MA. Thomas is a multiple-time published author who wrote the book “Don’t Let Them Drown.” He enjoys writing, motorcycle riding, and international adventure traveling. ”The driving force of everything he does is the firm faith that the Lord Jesus Christ redeemed him when he believed himself unredeemable.”

Stacie was born and raised in Mississippi. She and Thomas met in college, and after attending the University of Southern Mississippi, they married in 1992. They were commissioned as Salvation Army Officers in June of 1994 and then appointed to Mt. Airy, NC, where their daughter Brittany was born. Over the years, she served along with her husband as Corps Officers in the North and South Carolina Division; Divisional Youth Secretaries of the Alabama Louisiana Mississippi Division; Divisional Women’s Ministries Director of the Arkansas Oklahoma Division; Campus Services and Conferences at the EBC; and, as Area Commanders in Palm Beach County, FL; Jacksonville, FL; and, Oklahoma City, OK. Stacie enjoys tennis and walking, and she loves cats. Stacie is excited to join the MAAC team and looks forward to all God has planned.

Majors Thomas and Stacie McWilliams began their leadership in the Metro Atlanta Area Command in June 2022. We are excited to have them join the metro Atlanta team!
