Just months earlier, her life had been turned upside down

Jul 21, 2025

In early 2025, 25-year-old Ms. P walked through our doors in search of hope. Just months earlier, her world had been turned upside down by a devastating car accident that left her 7-year-old son with a traumatic brain injury. He spent four long months in the hospital, and during that time, Ms. P lost her job due to her extended absence. With bills piling up and no income, she was facing one of the most difficult moments of her life.

But Ms. P didn’t give up, instead she reached out.

Through our Emergency Solutions Grant, we were able to provide immediate financial assistance to help her catch up on overdue bills, lifting a tremendous burden from her shoulders. We also connected her with Goodwill, where she secured full-time employment at a warehouse. With stable work and renewed confidence, Ms. P is now rebuilding her life stronger and more hopeful than ever.

While the road ahead will still have challenges, especially as she continues to support her son’s recovery, Ms. P now moves forward equipped with stability, strength, and support. We are proud to have played a part in her journey, and we celebrate her resilience and determination.
