A Legacy We'll Never Forget

May 6, 2025

A Legacy of Leadership. A Lifetime of Love. A Mission Fulfilled.

For 15 years, Major Ken and Jessie Chapman have served as officers in The Salvation Army, answering the call with purpose, grace, and unwavering faith.

Over the last 7 years in Orange and Osceola Counties, they’ve done more than serve — they’ve built. They’ve inspired. They’ve led. And they’ve left our community better than they found it.

Together, they have:

  • Led a team of passionate staff members, dedicated community leaders and grateful clients through seasons of growth, hardship, and hope.

  • Increased community donations by over 80%, empowering us to serve more families, feed more people, and extend our reach further than ever before.

  • Built stronger connections with faith based communities, business leaders, and civic partners — creating long-lasting partnerships rooted in mission and service.

  • Provided steady, compassionate leadership during the pandemic and times of uncertainty, reminding us all to lead with love.

Major Ken brought a strategic mind and pioneering vision, helping strengthen every corner of our operation. Major Jessie brought warmth, wisdom, and a gift for connection, ensuring every individual felt seen and valued.

Their leadership is a true reflection of what it means to Do the Most Good.

This isn’t goodbye. This is gratitude.
Gratitude for every life they touched.
For every door they opened.
For every moment, they made someone feel hope again.
