Did you know The Salvation Army is a church?

OurFaith

The Salvation Army is a Christian organization and part of the universal Christian Church.

Its message and the lifestyle it advocates are based on the Bible’s teaching. Everything The Salvation Army does is rooted in the faith of its members. The confidence Salvationists have in a loving and caring God finds outward expression in their love for humanity and their practical response to human needs.

OurChurch

The Salvation Army is part of the universal Church. . .

The Salvation Army places of worship are sometimes called “citadels” or “community centers”, but, whatever their name, they are Christian churches that are open to the community they serve and offer a welcome to all.

These meetings have a relaxed atmosphere and can include hymn singing, Bible readings, members of the congregation talking about their Christian experiences, and presentations by worship or drama groups.

As well as services on a Sunday, there are weekday and evening activities, such as prayer groups, family events, lunch groups, youth clubs, and meetings for seniors.

Why not go along to your local Salvation Army center and see for yourself all that it can offer?

The Salvation Army has several Community Centers throughout the Central Florida area. These Community Centers have a variety of activities for all ages and strive to strengthen the individual and family. For more information about any of the church programs at The Salvation Army call 407-423-8581.

Corps Cadets is a Salvation Army program in-depth bible study and character-building program. The program is by invitation only and is focused on such things as the bible, Salvation Army doctrines, policies of The Salvation Army, etc. These young people are given leadership roles and participate in many of the corps activities.

A program offered to both boys and girls, ages 7-12, and is designed to bring them to an understanding of Jesus Christ and to develop them as fighting soldiers in the ranks of The Salvation Army.

Children that are involved with weekly activities and a member of the youth are able to attend our summer camps at Camp Keystone. We send kids every year to enjoy camp life and spend the week with friends throughout the Florida Division.
