In the evening hours of November 6, 2023, The Salvation Army Service Unit at 700 Union Street in Kissimmee, FL was intentionally and devastatingly vandalized and set on fire.

The damage to the facility and all of the resources used to serve the most vulnerable in Osceola County was extensive, with little to be salvaged.  We are very grateful that no one was harmed in this incident.

The Service Unit provides daily services to the unhoused and precariously housed in Osceola County - including hot meals, laundry and shower services, food pantry, utility, and rental assistance.  It is unclear at this time if and when the building will be operational again.

After the fire that burned down our service unit, The Salvation Army of Osceola County remains on the ground serving our neighbors. We continue to operate at 1550 Mill Slough Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34744 until further notice. We are providing financial emergency assistance, school supplies, emotional and spiritual support, essential items, and positive community collaboration. We are also creating pathways to stability through homeownership opportunities in our Pathway to Housing program, and offering case management and emergency support through our Pathway of Hope program. We remain committed to the individuals and families of Osceola County. If you are able, please consider donating to help us continue doing the most good.
