An Evening for "Others"
An Evening for "Others": A Night of Hope and Impact
Hosted at SeaWorld Orlando, An Evening for "Others" was a celebration of compassion, resilience, and the power of community. Emcees Ezzy Castro, former WKMG News 6 reporter, and Major Ken Chapman led the evening with warmth and insight, guiding guests through moments that were both heartfelt and inspiring.
The highlight of the night was hearing firsthand impact stories from individuals who have found hope and healing through The Salvation Army’s programs. Geraldo shared his powerful testimony of overcoming addiction and reclaiming his life with the support of our Adult Rehabilitation Center and Men’s & Veterans Shelter. His journey from brokenness to breakthrough deeply moved the audience.
We also heard from Angela, a motivated and determined woman who found refuge at The Salvation Army’s Women’s & Children’s Shelter after experiencing significant hardship. With strength and grace, Angela is now rebuilding her life and providing stability for her children, reminding us all that with the right support, restoration is possible.
The evening featured a vibrant silent auction, a delicious dinner, and a special awards presentation honoring community champions who go above and beyond to serve others. From start to finish, the night was filled with unity, generosity, and purpose.
Thank you to everyone who made this evening possible. Because of your kindness and support, lives are being transformed across our community, one story, one family, and one step at a time.
