The Salvation Army Stands alongside Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida
The Salvation Army has committed to sheltering 150 men who have been displaced by a devastating fire at Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. The fire occurred on their campus, inside their Men’s Service Center. a. In times of crisis, solidarity becomes the cornerstone of support, and The Salvation Army stands hand-in-hand with Coalition for the Homeless during their time of need.
On the evening of March 7th, The Salvation Army will open its doors to welcome the displaced men, providing a haven, and essential services. SALT Trailers will be stationed on campus to offer adequate shower accommodations, ensuring the men's hygiene needs are met. The Salvation Army’s campus and staff are prepared to welcome the men with open arms, love, and support.
The lesson we can glean from witnessing Coalition for the Homeless' unwavering support for those in need during these challenging times is truly invaluable. “When times of crisis hit, it is very important that we stick together,” said Captain Ken Chapman, Area Commander, The Salvation Army.
