Join us for “Battle Of The Bells"
Our first annual Red Kettle competition 

Teams from different categories compete to raise the most donations between mid-November and Christmas Eve.

There are LOTS of opportunities to be recognized.

What is Team? Those who wish to compete must be in a team of two or more participants.

What Kinds of Teams Can Participate?

The Battle Of The Bells Team Categories:

  • Elementary School Group
  • Middle School Group
  • High School Group
  • Youth Organization/Club
  • College Organization/Club
  • Sports Organization/Club
  • Service/Civic Organization
  • Faith-Based Group
  • Community Organization
  • Special Interest Club
  • Local Business
  • Families and/or Friends

What Does a Team Do? Teams must ring at a Salvation Army Red Kettle for a minimum of four hours total during the Red Kettle season. The money raised during each team’s shift will be tracked and counted towards their total. 

  • There’s no limit on the number of shifts or hours each team can ring!
  • Every team member does not have to ring at every shift.
  • At least one team representative is needed for donations to count towards your team’s total.

Prizes

All teams will receive a certificate of participation with the team’s total number of hours and money raised.

  • 1st Place Winner Cash Prize $1000
  • 2nd Place Winner $750
  • 3rd Place Winner $250

The winning team in each category also receives:

  • recognition on our website and social media pages
  • invitations to our next annual appreciation breakfast
  • an engraved 1st place plaque with the year, group category, and team name

All category winners will have their team name engraved on our jumbo legacy trophy!

Get Started

  1. Create a team in the form below for this year’s Battle of the Bells competition
  2. Choose one category you’d like to compete in
  3. Go to www.registertoring.com to register for ringing location(s) and time(s)
  4. Click on "I'M RINGING AS A GROUP"
  5. Create a group if you're the team captain or find your group with the search option
  6. Choose your kettle location and times you'd like to ring

Remember, you can ring as often as you like - the more you ring the more donations will count towards your team's total!
