KATHY IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR!
Meet Kathy.
She’s one of many wonderful women now thriving after receiving help through our Purdue Center of Hope Single Women’s Residence.
People often ask what sets us apart from the other homeless shelters in Memphis.
First, we’re program based, providing long-term care. But most importantly, our impact is possible only through God. He is in the business of granting miracles, every day.
Kathy says her life was forever changed by The Salvation Army.
"The Salvation Army is like home because I am treated like family,” she said. “I feel loved. All staff and residents welcomed me."
During her stay, Kathy took classes teaching healthy financial habits, nutrition, and spiritual and emotional stability. She recently started school and is hoping to become a nurse.
"When I first came to The Salvation Army, I was told God brought me here,” she said. “I didn't think much about it then, but now, I know it was God, and I wouldn't be where I am today without Him."
Thanks to friends like you, The Salvation Army was there for Kathy, fighting for good.
