RED SHIELD TRIBUNE: MAY 2023 | VOL 12

May 1, 2023

The Salvation Army of Memphis is gearing up for the 3rd annual Kettle365 Telethon hosted by WREG News Channel 3, and presented by International Paper on Thursday, May on May 18th! We are in need of volunteers to answer donor calls and enter information into our online system.

Last year, we raised $15,939 during our one-day telethon. This year, our goal is to raise $25,000. Proceeds will help to fund programs in our Purdue Center of Hope, a shelter for women and children experiencing homelessness.

With your help, we can continue to provide holistic services such as counseling, financial literacy, parenting classes, youth tutoring, and so much more. Sign up to volunteer here.

The Salvation Army of Memphis hosted the inaugural Doing the Most Good Appreciation Dinner recap Thursday, April 27. Guests included volunteers and supporters who have helped The Salvation Army to 'Do the Most Good' in the Mid-South Community.

Several volunteers were awarded for their contribution to The Salvation Army throughout the years and during the 2022 holiday season. Thank you to all who attended last month's dinner. Volunteers are the army behind the Army. You are greatly appreciated for all you do!
