Angel Tree Applications 2024

Angel Tree Registration for established partners will happen from Mid-August to Mid-September. Please check with your school or any social services agency you are connected with to see if they are participating. If they are not, we will open online registration to the community on September 23rd.

Important notes:

  • It will be first come - first serve.
  • Review the requirements below BEFORE starting your application.
  • If you try and apply, and you can not, then we have reached our limit for applications.
  • If any additional openings become available, after reviewing all previously submitted applications, we will post on our social media platforms, so please follow us there to be notified.

Please Read The Notes Below Before Submitting An Application

  • The Salvation Army will be opening online applications for a limited number of families with children. We are not able to accept additional senior applications.
     
  • Submission of an application is NOT a guarantee of being added to the Angel Tree
     
  • You must live in Davidson, Dickson, Cheatham, Hickman, Sumner, or Williamson Counties to be eligible.
  • You must have a valid working email address to register. This will be the ONLY source for communication.
     
  • You must be able to pick up your gifts from our warehouse during our distribution window in December. If your application is accepted, you will be given an assigned date and time. This appointment will come to you through the email you register with.
     
  • You must show a financial need to be eligible.
  • Only children 12 and under will be eligible. Children can not turn 13 before the end of 2024. Babies with a due date before the end of 2024 are eligible with proof of due date.
     
  • Applications will be reviewed on a first-come/first-served basis.
     
  • Families will be notified by email if they have been accepted or declined for 2024 during the month of October and possibly into early November. Calling the Salvation Army does not speed up the process.
     
  • Before you begin your application you will need to upload copies/pictures of the following - gather them before you start:
    • Valid photo ID: Examples - Driver’s license, Passport, Green card, or Student ID
    • Proof of Residence: Please provide one of the following: Current lease, Utility bill from the past month, or any recent mail received from the Government or school, etc.
    • Proof of Need: Please provide one of the following: Section 8 or HUD lease documents, SNAP, TennCare, or SSI information. If you do not receive government assistance, please provide proof of income from all sources for the household (check stub, letter from employer, recent bank statement with income highlighted, or last year's tax return.)
    • Proof of Age: One for each individual (child or senior) that is eligible for Angel Tree (see ages above): Birth Certificate, school records, shot records, insurance cards, TennCare, Passport, or Green Cards, or a school/agency letter verifying information.
    • Clothing (shirt, pants, underwear, coat sizes) and shoe sizes for each child and senior. Please use US sizes for clothing and shoes.
       
  • After you submit your application, monitor your email for any questions or additional information we may need to verify eligibility. If information is requested, and you don’t provide the information by the deadline given, your application will be declined.
