About The Event

Join us for our 2nd Annual Salvation Army Topgolf for Hope Fundraiser! Whether you are a novice or a pro, the Topgolf Tournament will be perfect for a day of no-pressure golf and fundraising, in a climate-controlled environment. Enjoy 4 hours of Topgolf and conversation, chips & queso, the Fajita bar, and music and games on the terrace. Once the competition has ended, stay with us for the awards and door prize drawing for all attendees!

The best way to end homelessness is to keep people in their homes! This event is to raise funds to benefit our Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) as we look to address the growing need for rent and utility assistance in our community. In 2024, our EFA program was able to help 127 people with rent and utility assistance based on our current available funding, but we know there are many more who could benefit from this program, which is why we are placing a focus on this program during the upcoming year to increase our capacity to assist.

For over 2 years, eviction rates have remained above pre-pandemic levels. Not since June of 22 have they fallen below that marker. The peak in the past 12 months was February 2024 when they were at 78% over the pre-pandemic level. In November 2024 they remained at 50% above pre-pandemic levels – which is the 3rd highest in the past 12 months. And while there are vacancies in Nashville, they aren’t affordable for many of our neighbors. Approximately 150,000 people, half of all renters, pay more than 30% of their income towards rental costs according to the 2023 Community Needs Assessment. With the average rent at the end of 2023 being approx. $1500, a household needs to make $61,000 to not be considered cost-burdened by housing costs.
