Red Shield Youth Centers

Our Youth Programs help thousands of kids develop essential skills, make lasting connections and have fun.

The Salvation Army’s high-quality after-school programs, at our Red Shield Youth Centers, serve children and youth of all ages. Our staff and volunteers provide one-on-one assistance with homework and school assignments, as well as the teaching and advancement of literacy and study skills. Our no-fee or low-cost after-school programs offer children a chance to play sports, learn athletic skills, and cultivate healthy, safe relationships with friends through better social skills.

Join our Red Shield Youth Centers for an action-packed summer, with STEAM activities, games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, engaging programs and field trips. Daily meals and snacks are provided. And scholarship opportunities are available.

(Closed on June 19 and the week of June 30-July 4)

Registration

Membership Fees - $5
Membership fees are an annual fee paid by all Red Shield Youth Center members. Member fees are $5 and good from the start of the school year until the end of summer.

Registration - $25
Registration is first come, first served and space is limited! Registration includes a $25 registration fee, a completed membership application, birth certificate, and 3rd quarter report card.

Weekly Fees - $80
Weekly fees are $80 and should be paid Friday prior to the week of attendance. The program is first come first serve; we will not secure a spot on the roster until your payment is received.

The Salvation Army School for Performing Arts

As part of the Carolinas Music & Arts Department, our School for Performing Arts (SPA) program enables children and youth to experience music and art education in a positive no-cost or low-cost environment. Our wide array of classes focuses on everything from choir, band, and dancing to drawing, writing, and acting, instilling an early love and appreciation of the fine arts.
