CAROLINAS MUSIC & ARTS DEPARTMENT

The Carolinas Music & Creative Arts Department exists to support, develop, and empower the division through performing arts in ministry and mission with artistic excellence. We desire to develop leaders in the arts and ultimately lead others to a close relationship with Jesus Christ.

ENSEMBLES

DIVISIONAL BAND

The Carolinas Divisional Band is the flagship brass band of The North & South Carolina Division. The band is under the leadership of Aaron Jackson and Major Mark Craddock, and consists of uniform-wearing Salvationists aged 18+. This band serves as the "duty-band" for the Carolinas serving at various events throughout the Division. If you are interested in joining the band, and you meet the minimum requirements, please submit an audition. If you are interested in using the Divisional Band for an event, please contact Aaron Jackson.

DIVISIONAL SONGSTERS

The Carolinas Divisional Songsters is under the leadership of Captain Ingrid Ljungholm. We are excited to welcome back this ensemble and see this group of passionate vocalists grow. Membership for the Songsters is by invitation only, if you are interested in joining this ensemble, please contact Aaron Jackson.

DIVISIONAL YOUTH BAND

The Carolinas Divisional Youth Band (DYB) is the top youth brass band of The North & South Carolina Division under the leadership of Aaron Jackson. Every year, the band performs at Youth Councils and the Spring Worship Arts Festival. This ensemble tours throughout the division to serve various events—and even recently traveled all the way to Italy. If you are interested in joining the DYB, please audition at DSA.

DIVISIONAL YOUTH CHORUS

The Divisional Youth Chorus (DYC) is the top youth chorus of The North & South Carolina Division, and is under the leadership of Captain Carla Raymer. If you are interested in joining the DYC, please audition at DSA.

DIVISIONAL PRAISE TEAM

The Divisional Praise Team serves as the main worship team for various divisional events. Under the leadership of AJ Mitchell, the band consists of vocalists and musicians aged 17+. If you are interested in auditioning for the Divisional Praise Team, please reach out to AJ Mitchell.

DIVISIONAL YOUTH PRAISE TEAM

The Divisional Youth Praise Team is led by AJ Mitchell and Captain Mike McGee. The band consists of vocalists and musicians aged 14-26. You can audition for the Divisional Youth Praise Team at DSA.

LIGHTS UP

Lights Up is the Carolinas Youth Creative Arts Ensemble. This group consists of both actors and dancers who work on individual and joint creative performances. They are led by Caitlin Jackson, and other members of the Lights Up leadership team. If you are interested in auditioning for Lights Up, click here.

DIVISIONAL CREATIVE ARTS ENSEMBLE

The Divisional Creative Arts Ensemble is made up of dancers, actors and artists aged 18+. They perform at various divisional events. This ensemble is led by Caitlin Jackson. If you are interested in auditioning for this ensemble, click here.
