We’re excited that you are considering sending your child to beautiful Camp Heart O’ Hills! The Salvation Army operates the camp each summer for children throughout the States of Arkansas and Oklahoma. The camp is located in Welling, Oklahoma, about 15 minutes from downtown Tahlequah, Oklahoma. While at our camp, your child will participate in swimming, sports, hiking and other outdoor activities. Because The Salvation Army is a Christian organization, Bible Classes and Worship Services are also included as part of the camping experience.

Camp Heart O’ Hills is nestled in 188 acres of woodland. We have 32 sleeping cabins (16 boys and 16 girls), each with their own bathrooms and showers.

The Camp facilities include a Dining Hall and Conference Facilities, Outdoor Chapel, Classrooms, Activity Center, Canteen, Swimming Pool, Basketball & Volleyball Courts, Athletic Fields, Archery Range, Hiking Trails, Fishing Areas, as well as Low Ropes & High Ropes Courses.

Since 1929, Camp Heart O’ Hills has provided a haven for children who otherwise would never go to camp. Each is offered opportunities to be challenged and to be successful in meeting those challenges for new self-confidence.

In addition to our one week camps, we also offer a five week Music & Arts Conservatory program that offers music and creative arts instruction for those involved in Salvation Amy music programs in their local communities.
