The Salvation Army of Charlottesville is pleased to announce its 12th annual Charlottesville Salvation Army Telethon
Donate To Telethon
The telethon is a joint effort with the team at CBS19 News and WCHV 107.5FM. Together they produce and air the one-hour special live from the Charlottesville Corps on Ridge Street. In 2023, the telethon was presented by Better Living Building Supply, with support for the phone bank from Cathcart Group. The 2024 Telethon will air on CBS19 News and WCHV 107.5FM on September 17, from 7pm – 8pm, commercial-free. It will be hosted by CBS19 News’ Dan Schutte and WCHV 107.5 FM’s Joe Thomas.
Money raised with the Telethon stays in Charlottesville to help neighbors in need 365 days a year, as it has for over 100 years here in our community.
In 2023, The Salvation Army in Charlottesville:
Served nearly 50,000 hot meals
Provided 4,600 individuals with assistance
Distributed close to 6,500 Angel Tree gifts to local children
Provided more than 18,000 nights of shelter
