Peachtree Creek Greenway – Brookhaven, Georgia

Jan 7, 2020

In December 2018, The Salvation Army began partnering with the city of Brookhaven, GA to transform a dilapidated and dangerous creek trail into a world-class multiuse pathway, called the Peachtree Creek Greenway. Brookhaven held a Ribbon Cutting ceremony for this project one year later on December 12, 2019. Mayor John Ernst and City Councilman Joe Gebbia both thanked The Salvation Army for donating property for the Greenway and securing shelter for individuals suffering from homelessness in the Greenway area. Since opening alongside The Salvation Army's Atlanta Temple Corps and Southern Territorial Headquarters, the Greenway has become a popular destination for the community and new walkway in Metro Atlanta's ever-growing alternative transportation network.
