Emergency Cold Relief at Center of Hope
As winter temperatures drop to dangerous levels, The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) team is working tirelessly to provide crucial support to those experiencing homelessness in Tulsa. At the Center of Hope, a 24/7 shelter dedicated to serving our community, our doors are always open to provide warmth, compassion, and hope during these challenging times.
“When temperatures plummet, our doors are open, providing love, hope, & warmth for those in need at the Center of Hope,” and that’s exactly what we’re doing right now. Our team is here, ensuring that no one has to face the cold alone. As a warming center, the Center of Hope is offering a safe space for individuals to come in from the freezing temperatures, where they can get warm, enjoy a hot cup of cocoa, and relax in the comfort of an inspiring movie or soothing Christian worship music.
Our amazing EDS volunteers and Center of Hope staff have been working around the clock, pouring out care and compassion to everyone who walks through our doors. We’ve converted our chapel into a place where people can find peace, warmth, and a sense of belonging. We’ve been praying with our guests, offering support, and ensuring they feel seen and cared for during what can be a very isolating time.
We’re honored to be able to provide this kind of support for those who need it most. Our team is truly “caught DOING THE MOST GOOD,” and we’re grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of so many. But we can’t do it alone.
The people of Tulsa have always been a source of strength for us, and we invite you to stand with us in this mission. Your donations allow us to continue providing the warmth, shelter, and care that our community so desperately needs during these freezing conditions.
If you’d like to help us continue this vital work, please consider making a donation. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a huge difference.
