Sapulpa Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Hosts Successful Spring Charity Dinner

Apr 28, 2023 | by Jessica Orth

The Sapulpa Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary threw the ultimate party with their Annual Spring Charity Dinner, and this year's theme was "Birds of a Feather, We're in this Together!" It was a night of vibrant colors, flamingos, and plenty of smiles.

From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted with a fabulous flamingo gift card pool, cookie pool, treasure chest, mocktail station, and a photo booth! The fun-filled activities were designed to create a lively atmosphere and raise funds for The Salvation Army and the Boys and Girls Club of Creek County.

The event was jam-packed with exciting speakers, including Norma Tyler, the Sapulpa Women's Auxiliary president, Major Sarah and Captain Dan, the Tulsa Area Commanders of the Salvation Army, and Greg Parker, the Organizational Development Director for the Boys and Girls Club of America. They shared fantastic stories and inspiring messages about the importance of giving back to the community.

But that's not all, folks! The highlight of the evening was the amazing Ohana Dance Group, who wowed the crowd with their hula dancing, songs, and even a fire dance! It was a night of pure entertainment that had the audience captivated!

Of course, the delicious plated meal with desserts was a hit, too! Guests savored every bite while chatting and enjoying each other's company.

The event was a massive success, and the funds raised will go towards supporting the Salvation Army and the Boys and Girls Club of Creek County. These organizations make a significant impact on the lives of many in the community, and this event showed just how important it is to come together and support each other.

In conclusion, the "Birds of a Feather, We're in this Together!" Spring Charity Dinner was a blast! It was a night of fun, laughter, and generosity. The Sapulpa Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary and all those who attended this event should be proud of their efforts. They proved that giving back to the community can be entertaining and exciting! We look forward to doing it again next year!
